About The Book
"Vicki Brings the Beat!" tells the story of 10-year-old Victoria as she copes with her father's passing by taking on the task of learning to play the drums for her school's talent show. Her father was also a drummer, and she sees this as a way to follow in his footsteps, showing how a child and parent can continue to maintain a connection through the impact of music. The story encourages children to grow by being persistent, and touches on the subject of loss from a child's perspective in a gentle manner. Written for early readers, "Vicki Brings The Beat!" is a simple, lighthearted story with a dash of depth suitable for children ages three to nine.
About The Author
Calling New Jersey his home, Freddy's writing experience up to this point is limited to restaurant reviews and leaving sarcastic anonymous comments on videos. As a long-time suffering New York Mets fan, Freddy finds joy in the things that won't break his heart year after year: Cuban Sandwiches, bass guitars, and his loyal army of nieces and nephews. In his free time, he continues to add to his ever-growing list of unfinished projects, and somehow this unfinished project fell through and managed to get completed. "Vicki Brings the Beat!" is his first children's book.
